Gary talks about how it is important to target CEO’s, senior management, senior HR and general managers for this workforce development initiative so the skills and knowledge they gain can filter down Gary - NVESthroughout their businesses as far as their host employers.

Gary also discusses the e-learning environment that the association creates for the members. Some programs have been custom built to meet the needs of Group Training Organisations. Using the flexibility of online learning, the easy to use open source learning management system Moodle and workshops throughout the courses, participants are comfortable with what they are learning. They are taking their newly found knowledge and using it confidently in practical workplace scenarios.

With the Group Training Association’s 30 year history regarding Work Force development, there is much to show for what they have developed and put back into the industry. GTAV's latest free resource development is SafetyFirst.org.au; a Work Health and Safety website offering all GTAV's WHS products including, free WHS policies and procedures and safety guidance for businesses right across Australia. they also offer induction training and certificate IV in WHS.

The influence of mobile phones and tablets on students, apprentices/trainees, the general workforce and upper management is well known. These trends in IT, combined with funding constraints, create both the possibility and the need for easier and cheaper access to learning.  There are now gateways for e–learning to move into all business modules across Australia.
